Our Process

How the house works.

There is no storefront and no counter to stand at. You tell a Timekeeper what you are after, by exact reference or by a budget, and we do the finding and the authenticating and bring the watch to you to look at in person. If you have a watch to sell, we buy it too.

What We Do

1 · Source to your specification

Name the exact watch: reference, dial, bracelet, year, condition. A Timekeeper works our dealer network to find that piece, authenticates it in-house, and brings it to you to see in person. Nothing is committed until you have it on your wrist and say yes.

2 · Source to your budget

Give us a number and a direction instead, a steel diver around this figure, a dress watch under that one. We come back with the best pieces that budget actually buys right now, and honest notes on why each one sits where it does. The point is value, not whatever happens to be in stock.

3 · Sell or trade your watch

We give same-day offers on Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Omega, Cartier and Tudor, authenticated at your own table and paid by wire or check before the Timekeeper leaves. Or the value goes toward the next watch. See how selling a watch works.

How the Visit Works

A watch shown in hand at a private appointment in Tampa

Seen in your own light.

A Timekeeper comes to your home, office or club anywhere in Tampa Bay and puts the watch in front of you where you actually live and work. You look at it in your own light for as long as you want, with no register in the room and no next customer on the chair.

There is no charge to look and no obligation to buy. You pay only if you keep something, and the number stays the number whether you decide in the first ten minutes or ask us back another week.

Authenticated Before It Travels

All of this is done at the Tampa bench before we bring you the watch. Nothing rides to your door on faith.

1.

Caseback opened

The back comes off at the bench so the movement is seen, not described from a photo or taken on faith.

2.

Movement matched

The caliber is matched against the reference: correct movement, correct parts, nothing swapped in that should not be there.

3.

Rate checked

The watch goes on the timegrapher and has to run true, not just run, before it is allowed to travel.

4.

Serials and papers verified

Serial numbers and any box, warranty card or service records are read against the watch before it is packed.

Selling instead? The same four checks run at your own table, in front of you, before any money moves.

The standard

All of it, done before the watch reaches you.

Questions

Do I pay anything to see a watch?

No. There is no fee to have a Timekeeper bring a watch to you and no charge for the visit. You only pay if you decide to buy.

How does sourcing work?

You tell a Timekeeper the watch you want, either by exact reference or by a budget and a direction. We work our dealer network to find it, authenticate it in-house, and bring it to you to see in person. Nothing is committed until you approve the piece.

How long does sourcing take?

It depends on the watch. Common steel references often turn up within days, while a specific dial, a full set, or a discontinued reference can take longer. A Timekeeper gives you a realistic window when you describe what you are after, and keeps you posted as pieces surface.

Do you come to me?

Yes. A Timekeeper meets you at your home, office or club anywhere in Tampa Bay, including South Tampa, Hyde Park, Westshore and Davis Islands, and drives to St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Brandon and Wesley Chapel. Outside that radius we arrange fully insured shipping.

Can I sell or trade instead of buying?

Yes. We buy Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Omega, Cartier and Tudor with a same-day offer, authenticated at your own table and paid by wire or check before the Timekeeper leaves. The value can also go toward the next watch as a trade.

Do I have to buy anything?

No. There is no obligation. A Timekeeper can bring a watch for you to see with no charge and no pressure, and you decide from there.
